FCEL - Well B.K., the doomsday scenario didn't unfold today. But at least we were ready for it! I believe that the MM's have had a chance to shake out and build their inventory. But one day does not a trend make. We'll see if we can push 80 tomorrow.

In spite of all the ebb and flow, this company is poised and ready to deliver. They are way past the prototype stage and are working on improving process control, manufacturing efficiency, and product yield.

I remember in 97' when they shipped a FC stack from CT to CA and assembled it for a test in Santa Clara. It was wired to the grid are ran for 1000's of hours. During this field trial they had trouble with a glue or laminate that held the FC's together. The failure caused a drop in efficiency but the cells still worked. In spite of this the stock was punished! The frustration from the company was palpable. This was a field trial, a test! Flaws of this sort were exactly what they hoped to expose and fix. The bottom line is FCEL has been through all this while most others are still climbing the learning curve. Check out this excerpt from a

JAN 13, 1998 PRESS RELEASE

The Santa Clara plant also won a technical achievement award from the Electric Power Research Institute for hosting and managing the first commercial-scale demonstration of a carbonate fuel cell power plant on a utility system. ERC's license partner in Germany, MTU of Daimler Benz, performed its first test of their advanced Hot Module design using a 250 kW Direct Fuel Cell stack manufactured by ERC. Continuing its development of fuel cell technology, ERC received its first contract to develop a fuel cell for ships' applications from the U.S. Navy. This represents an exciting new potential market for clean, fuel efficient power generation for marine applications."

As they roll out their product and it's merits are established, this could well continue to be a magic bean stock. These are my OPINIONS. I encourage anyone considering an investment in FCEL to engage in their own DD. Health Wealth and Happiness to you all.
