I don't know. Someone I know whose opinion on these things I completely respect says that the SEC's job is over when there is disclosure of MS's conflict. I find that odd, but he just shook his head, and said, "Sign of the times". He is not one of these knee-jerk government regulation bashers, BTW, not at all.

And of course, the valuation thing gets worse if we presume that all of the rumors of sector consolidation are true. Then selling the business at a PSR of, what, .25 or so becomes even more totally ludicrous.

The lawyers will make out like bandits on this, IMO. They should be on their knees thanking Luzco & Co. every morning when they get up and every night when they go to sleep. Deep pockets, lots of future cash flow--what a great group to sue. The only hitch is they are a Bahamian company, which means that they probably have some friends who can do some nasty things to you if you aren't careful.
