The worst part is some is reformulated with MTBE which only cuts pollution until the engine is warmed up. MTBE doesn't break down and actually poisons water supplies. Another is VP Gore's tie breaking vote to push through HIGHER gasoline taxes. People are carping about Cheney's ties to Halliburton. Halliburton is an oil service business and sells and maintains equipment and doesn't sell a drop of oil. OTOH Gore has a large share of Occidental Petrolium which does does pump and sell crude oil.
