That's one of the reasons for my EEE and TESOF positions.

Have not sold a share of either in spite of my recent concerns about ST patch weakness. Finished my EEE position in July and early August and Bot TESOF a few wks later(3rd time in TESOF since this up cycle began).

So I agree 100% that owning some good Canadian patcher stocks is an excellent way to hedge against the latest wave of emerging political stupidity in this country.

Also bot some LOILY not long ago as another good foreign play outside the clutches of "Son of Tony Blair"<G>.
