The kid only did what the big Wall Street houses do every day. Do you really think that when Merrill puts a "strong buy" on a stock that their fund managers aren't selling into it? If he was my kid, I dunno, it beats selling crack. All he had to do was add an "do your own dd" to the end of his posts and he could have avoided this trouble and probably would be considered to be a trader with excellent market timing skills.
