NR - Singapore contract $600,000

UBS Subsidiary Awarded OFDM Contract in Singapore

ProTelevision's COFDM Modulation Solution Selected for Sophisticated Mobile
Reception Project for 2000 Singapore buses

Concord, ON - September 21, 2000 - Unique Broadband Systems, Inc. (CDNX:
UBS), a leader in high-speed wireless transmission solutions, today
announced that ProTelevision Technologies A/S based in Brøndby, Denmark
(PTV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of UBS, has received a purchase order for
approximately $600,000 to supply a modulation solution to Television
Corporation of Singapore and its wholly owned subsidiary, TVMOBILE (TCS).
The high-speed wireless COFDM modulator to be provided by PTV will enable
passengers on buses to view television and listen to radio while on the bus.

"We are very pleased with this order, which once again demonstrates PTV's
leadership in the design and manufacture of high-speed wireless equipment
based on COFDM technology and our importance as a player in the growing
digital video broadcast (DVB-T) marketplace," said Jacob Perch Nielsen,
Managing Director of PTV. "Furthermore, the selection of our COFDM
modulator represents a strong endorsement of the future potential of
terrestrial digital video broadcast."

TCS, which will deploy the world's first mobile digital terrestrial-based
T.V. service, intends to begin broadcasting television programming to
Singapore buses by mid-February, 2001.

"To be part of the world's first system and be in on the ground floor
certainly presents a wonderful opportunity in what should be an exploding
growth area going forward," added Neilson. "Given the number of buses,
trains, cars, trucks, minivans and other vehicles world-wide, PTV, with its
high-speed wireless COFDM modulation solution is well positioned to take
advantage of this growth area."

PTV was selected as the supplier of choice following more than a year of
extensive field-testing and reception trials on buses. Although other
suppliers also bid on this contract and carried out field-testing and
trials, it was PTV's solution and equipment that was ultimately chosen based
on results achieved during the year long demonstration period.

"The importance of this award lies not in the contract value, but in the
support for PTV's advanced high-speed mobile transmission solution based on
COFDM technology that will become the cornerstone for mobile and fixed
wireless transmission in the future," said Alex Dolgonos, President and CEO
of UBS.

UBS intends to integrate its COFDM transmission equipment with PTV's COFDM
DVB-T modulator and demodulator to provide a complete end-to-end
transmission solution that puts UBS at the forefront of wireless mobile
multimedia delivery.

"This contract is further evidence that UBS has made the right choice in its
acquisition of PTV in terms of advancing our strategy and realizing our
vision of becoming the leader in high-speed mobile and fixed wireless
solutions based on OFDM technology," added Dolgonos. "This contract and our
acquisition will, no doubt, open more doors and opportunities around the
world for both UBS and PTV in the wireless marketplace."
