Hi GH and Dennis; my thoughts re-Amzn:

Amzn's outstanding, 356M shares, float 139M shares.
Who owns the float:
Institutions, (70%) around 98M shares.
Short interest, 32M shares
Retailers and traders, 139M-98M+32M, 73M shares.
So there are materialily more shares "owned" than the "float".

Short interest summary for the last three months:
6/15/00, SI was 24M and stock price was around $40.
7/15/00, SI was 28M and stock price was under $45.
8/15/00, SI was 32M and stock price was again under $40.

So I think that Amzn has been more of a "shorting and covering" games for the past three months.

So I think that a $60+ Christmas is likely. (JMHO)
