As far as Luther is concerned I have some reservations myself when I hear about his "anti Semitism". I would never agree with such a position, however I have not read the remarks myself and so I am a little reticent to condemn him outright. What that other poster failed to mention to you was that Luther had poured his heart out to the Jews for many years but was constantly met with fierce resistance. He finally reached a point where he just shook the dust off his feet and wrote them off. I think his approach afterwards was a bit harsh but let's never forget how he helped relieve the church of the noose put around it's neck by the Roman Catholic hierarchy! Chris
