VZ wireless employees are not covered by union contracts. (Nor do they want to be.) The strike had no bearing on their cell business whatsoever.

All this FUD related to the telecom service companies is being generated by the transition in product lines & a higher customer turnover (churn) as telco's drop their deadbeat customers. IMO, the complete lack of competition in the telecom landscape should lead to a remarkable improvement in ARPU. I think we will also see a higher ASP for wireless handsets as new internet functions and gps capabilities warrant new charges like the wireless e911 mandate.

At these prices, companies like VZ and PCS stand out as no brainers.
