I respectfully disagree. You are still talking about a old customer base many 5+ year subscribers some are still analog they are migrating over to get the best rate plans (CDMA)as they upgrade handsets. Verizon carries 1 analog handheld (NOKIA) I have asked sales reps in several stores and they claim it is less than 5% of sales. CDMA handsets are now available for $10 with better airtime rates than analog. Just 2 years ago CDMA handsets were $150 against free analog times have changed. With the exception of some rural analog areas virtually all new subscribers are CDMA. Every issue of RCR or wireless week I read mentions a new small town converting to CDMA. Soon it will be 100% CDMA and analog users will be completely phased out.
