Hello Sam,

>>> Sales of Mac CW are now less than 33% of total sales,

>>> up, hence the sequential revenue decline.

After I saw your post, I went and checked out the Metrowerks
web site and found the press release on the quarterly results.
I was totally amazed how quickly CodeWarrior for Mac sales have
dropped off. They were only $800K for the quarter just ended vs $2.5
million in the previous quarter. Metrowerks also set aside
$2.1 million to handle Mac product returns. Wow! This is
bad news for Metrowerks, but even worse news for Apple. Given
that Metrowerks is the leading supplier of development tools
for the Mac, I think there is now ample evidence that software
developers are abandoning the MacOS in droves. It appears to
me that MacOS has caught the OS/2 disease. That is, no
applications. What I am wondering is why no one in the press
has picked on up this story? The Metrowerk's numbers are a
leading indicator of some real bad problems ahead for Apple.
