Thanks. I am a permanent resident of US, not a citizen
though. Been here 10 years and I file my taxes here.
Last year I made some big investemnt in a startup overseas
and it went bust. So, are you telling me I can claim
it as loss on Sch D? Any idea where I can find more info?
It was legit investment for profit venture. What kind
of documentation is required to claim losses? Do I need
copies of my checks, share certificates, etc?
