Some of the "GoQCOM posters", as you call them, seriously started thinking about buying QCOM back in 1991. Therefore, these posters have a cost basis as low as $1.00 and trading QCOM, like you "trading posters" do, would result in substantial capital gain taxes. The LTB&H approach has worked out quite well for these "GoQCOM posters" if you ask me.
