As I look at the high prices in the biotech upper tiers, I am increasingly attracted to the more neglected small stocks. (Hi, Rick and Mike! <g>). I don't yet have the guts to ever place much of a bet on any one of them, but maybe I'll yet develop a taste. Hoping I'm not in for some aversive taste therapy here, though. <g> Some good examples are FOCL, INKP, and CDIC, the latter two of which had good news today that the market mostly seems to have ignored. (Maybe that's why this sort of stock makes for a frustrating life?). KDUS too is a good buy at these levels, given it is effectively trading below cash. Here's the INKP news: InKine Pharmaceutical Announces FDA Approval of Visicol(TM) Tablets; At Market Early 2001 biz.yahoo.com This stuff is clearly as effective as Golytely and its cohorts, but much more pleasant to take and has markedly fewer side effects to boot. Not exactly going to be a billion dollar drug, but should have a good effect on a small company like INKP. Here's the CDIC news: CardioDynamics (CDIC) Reports Eleventh Consecutive Quarterly Sales Increase and 72% Growth for Third Quarter 2000 biz.yahoo.com Good looking results, particularly as I was worried that last quarter was pumped some by non-recurring sales.
