Gag me if I'm wrong but this appears to be a lack of sales not a lack of product. I could be wrong. I hear they were ramping up a new chip and dropping the number of old chips produced. Then they had technical problems with the new chips. Creating a shortage of chips needed in the market.

giant chip maker warned that third-quarter revenues would come in below company expectations.
