John. again, re Kumar/Dell

re Dell: I believe Kumar wrongly assumed that what principally affected Intel in the 1% to 2% sequential range in Europe, HAD to be a significant Dell problem too.

Of course, we know it's a Dell problem. But, Dell has been able to shift resources to meet the type of demand that is growing in Europe.

What he possibly failed to incorporate for Europe - as others have in the past - is Dell's continued strength in servers there (laptops as well). While other European players can demonstrate weakness, Dell can continue to take share.

Europe is more wireless than any current region, including the U.S. What they're doing in Europe now with wireless, the U.S. won't see for another year. They're shifting their wireless applications to the internet. This is but one such (very big) task.

We all should have taken more coffee breaks.
