Ted, Re:..it just doesn't have that many chips coming out of Dresden > You might be right, but my local srewdriver shop, that had 1 Duron and no Socket Athlons in early Aug., now has a shelf full of them & a MOBO for each one(Only MSI and Gigabyte). They say the socket chips are selling well(More socket athlons sold in the last week than all other CPUs combined). My take on the situation is that the MOBO problem has eased in the last several weeks & that the shops are/have been ordering CPUs based on MOBO availability. I would HOPE that the question would be asked at the 10/11 meeting about the curve of the sales in the last Q. tgptndr
