Your message does point up a big problem with the Republicans. Frankly, I probably agree more with conservatives than liberals on issues like taxation, economics, and fiscal policy (e.g., I'm in favor of school vouchers), but I find the whole ideological dogmaticism of the Republicans impossible to stomach. How can people like Bush who claim to espouse compassion also be in the camp with the racists, anti-abortionists, anti-evolution, prayer-in-school whackos, who will turn this country backwards 20 years? How can the Republicans claim their mantle of being the party of Lincoln when these crazies make up 30-40% of their numbers. It's mind-boggling
