My take on the situation is that the MOBO problem has eased in the last several weeks & that the shops are/have been ordering CPUs based on MOBO availability.

I would *HOPE* that the question would be asked at the 10/11 meeting about the curve of the sales in the last Q.

tgptndr,

I heard the same from my screwdriver shop and he told me that sales are typically slow in September but they pick up in October. However some things just do not compute...in June chip prices are being cut when there is supposed to be a shortage, and the cuts kept getting deeper as the summer went on...when a commodity is in short supply prices should be going up, not down.

And now its Sept. and every little screwdriver shop i.e. yours and mine have plenty of chips on hand. None of this is making any sense. Last week Intel says everything is on track to making its quarter, and no matter what we think of Intel, they are not a two person shop and now this week, they have to preannounce.

Bottomline...there is way to much FUD going around for me to feel very comfortable.
