<< Your lack of intelligence is incomprehensible. >>
I have a feeling that a lot is incomprehensible to you. <g> << If the Republicans violated the Constitution, the Justice Department would have stepped in. >> The Constitution grants the House the power to impeach. The Constitution sets standards for that impeachment, which are somewhat arbitrary. By all legal standards, the charges against the President were not impeachable. But, since the Republican House knew that they could interpret the Constitution any way they wanted, and since they knew that they had majority power (intrusted in them by the public), they could go ahead and violate the spirit of the Constitution, which was a horrendous act. The Republican House betrayed the trust that the American people gave them. My lack of intelligence, as you so put it, and the American peoples' intelligence, will make sure, this November, that they don't get another chance to do the same thing, or worse. |
