Hi M - I think NW was trying to say --- or maybe I am putting my words in his mouth :) --- INTC problem is it didn't sell enough, ergo, so the domino theory goes, the box makers didn't order enough, because the latter couldn't sell enough to warrant additional demand, and therefore, the box makers may have a volume problem too. Or so I could reason why the box makers would get hit. That said, this will hurt DELL a lot more. More important, CPQ has tried --- and I think she has finally made some headway --- to get less dependent on the low margin boxes and a better control of cost. On top of that, her wildfire server [with the Alpha chip?] is shielded from INTC problem altogether.

However, rest assured CPQ will be one of the babies being tossed out with the bathwater :(

best, Bosco
