Hi Meat..your addendum (to my post) was spot on...I always look to you & Rudedog to clear my fuzzy logic <G> I do like to get the ball rolling, though...

Actually, tomorrow will be quite interesting....the early morning, of course, will stink....down 175 at the open perhaps, maybe 200...we'll get some sort of muted comeback.....50, 75 pts.......and, then, in all probability, another dip to lows (late morn/early afternoon)....However..

how stocks respond (individual, and collectively, Naz avg.) in the late afternoon/close will be quite interesting......also, it will be interesting to see the analyst games and company announcements tomorrow morn.....I gotta think that some of the more beaten-up stocks will vigorously defend themselves by pre-announcing their quarters........Also, I reckon quality stocks (and/or those with large amounts of credibility still in tact) will come back some at the end of the day...what will Dell do? Will be a good, short-term litmus test for the stock for sure.

To repeat, I think this time Dell's management DID get the story right, and WILL produce a good quarter (as discussed) ...I think MD and crew are on the road to redemption.......I continue to believe that a couple lessons were learned from the three "mistakes" of the last 2 years: (1) Feb. 99 revenue gap, (2) the "Taiwan" debacle of last October, and the (3) "yes we will, no we won't" do-see-do (I'm not from Texas, don't know how to spell it) from Jan. 2000....MD sure looked confident today as he talked about 30% rev. for 2000 (and component pricing troubles easing..)

Although almost all my port has moved onto newer pastures, would love to see Dell pull this one out (for old times sake)...after all, was ever a better thread than the Dell thread in '98? (I think not <G>)
