It sounds like the Boy Scouts have been taken over by leadership that wants to instill persecution of others into the fresh minds of our youth, IMHO. That is not a direction I want to scouts to go, and I certainly wouldn't want any public assistance or support for those ideals.

So am I. I am upset that the management of the scouts wants the children to learn that it is ok to exclude people who are different. What a terrible lesson. What is going to be lesson 2 for the scouts, that if you are not "white Anglo-Saxon Protestant", you are not worthy either?

That shows you to be homophobic. Being gay doesn't mean that you are a sexual predator. It just means that you have a different lifestyle. I'll bet that the sexual activities and appetites of non-gay scout leaders would probably turn a lot of people off, but we don't chose leaders by what they do in the bedroom, it is the quality of the individual.

Would you want to have a scoutmaster that beats his wife and kids? How about one that is an alcoholic? How about a child molester? All of these are most likely non-gay, and are probably leading scouts at this time.
