Hey ATT what are you doing...aren't you suppose to be signing up with Go2net/Infospace?...after all if you did that you'd have cross platform connectivity with infospace's wireless product you are using...so what happened here?????? The messiah said we would win but this sure isn't a good sign.

AT&T Broadband, (T:NYSE), announced today that it will be licensing Liberate Technology's, (LBRT:Nasdaq), software for the delivery of advanced interactive television services.

Under the deal, AT&T will run Liberate's TV Platform application through Motorola's DCT-5000 set-top box later this year.

While many speculated Microsoft would nab this deal, (since it had agreed last year to supply AT&T with software for a possible 10 million set-top boxes), AT&T went with Liberate. Some have suggested that the reason for this is that Microsoft has been slow to roll out its interactive software.

Liberate's technology allows interactive features such as e-mail, chat, and television-formatted destination sites.

AT&T is currently the largest broadband service company in the U.S. with close to 16 million digital TV viewers.
