Looks like Intel is desperate to roll out Foster 1/2 way servers in quarter 4 ahead of any AMD Mustang server initiative. Maybe another rushed launch??? theregister.co.uk The presentation also seems to suggest that Intel may have caught up on its Foster plans in some respects. Dual processing Foster will roll out in Q4, while multiprocessing Foster systems using 512K, and 1Mb caches will appear in Q1.
