So valuation does not play a part in making investment decisions anymore? Everyone should run out and buy JDSU and sleep well at night?!?! What the article does not mention is that JDSU is trading at 53X sales(it was at 80X earlier in the year). This is clearly no bargain or a "no-brainer." It is expensive at Gucci-like proportions. INTC is getting into networking more and more and MSFT is not going away the last time I checked. JDSU shows great growth, but what price are you willing to buy it or even hold it? INTC is very reasonably priced, especially considering they are more than ever supplying the communication chips market, and the dependence for MPU's as a % of revs has decreased consistently over the past 3 years.

FWIW, INTC has had their largest product rollout in history in '00. Rising oil prices have simply not helped them stay on track.
