It was ridiculous at 150.

Aye. I went to the shareholders' meeting in May, held in a little hotel meeting room. Other than SDLI staff, there must have been 15 investors there. There were a whopping 3 people from SI and a bunch of grannies who look like they're from the "Where's the beef?" commercial. The beef was right there. The CFO said Don (CEO) still has his first nickel, he is so cheap. While all the new startups have these fancy offices in San Jose, SDLI's headquarters are decidedly underwhelming. I was reminded of Peter Lynch's story of how he visited the Pep Boys' headquarters and was encouraged to see it was in a rundown building behind some billboards. Put the money into R&D and operations, not flash. Let Gilder and his ilk go chase whoever's got time to give you a deluxe factory tour. With its bargain-basement purchase of PIRI, SDLI was getting its ducks in a row to do the biggest merger in high-tech history.
