Joe, >Re: Dell Itanium workstation

When was the last time Intel introduced a new chip (or a new "pilot") but Dell didn't introduce a system based on it?

As you well know, there is a lot of verification testing that has to be completed before a company like Dell ships a new product AND I EXPECT THEY, AND INTEL IN ALLIANCE, WILL BE PRETTY CAREFUL WITH THIS ONE, MORE CAREFUL THAN WITH THE 1.13 PIII. Sorry about the caps, but, Dell and Intel are not staffed with a bunch of morons as some would think. I expect to see Compaq, IBM, Bull, SGI, Hitachi, Fujitsu, and many more to be announcing Itanium based products soon.
