I believe the difference between the immigration in US and Europe is that we tend to get more foreign skilled workers to drive our economy, which I think is a good thing, while the European countries tend to get refugees from the third world countries they had colonized. They've got all the wealth from the colonized countries, but didn't realize how much they'd ruined those countries. Like China, Europe is a very traditional place. The traditionalism is needed to be protected and respected. The openness seems to hurt the Europeans, while PRC is still keeping their eyes on the situation and be learned from the mistakes.
