Well, I just bought more AMD and I'm now 100% AMD in my IRA account. (I sold HAND a tad too early this morning to raise the cash, and missed out on another 20% gain, darn! Oh well, I suppose I should be satisfied with a measly 50% gain in a few weeks.)

My opinion regarding the Intel announcement of weak sales in Europe is that it could be a good sign for AMD. I believe that with the Dresden plant in their backyard, Europeans are more aware of how good the AMD chips are and of the technological edge they have over current Intel chips. It could just be that they are beginning to buy more AMD than Intel chips over there. Europe could be AMD's beachhead.

I would not be surprised to see from AMD's next quarterly report that sales have been above expectation in Europe.
