It could just be that they are beginning to buy more AMD than Intel chips over there. Europe could be AMD's beachhead.

I would not be surprised to see from AMD's next quarterly report that sales have been above expectation in Europe.

Europe (and Asia) are both AMD beachheads....a report last nite from TSC points it out very clearly. Surprisingly, AMD always has had a bigger presence in Europe then Intel. And Germany, being the largest country (exclusive of Russia) in terms of population, with the Dresden fab being one of their own, I don't see how AMD can fail to gain more market share.

Its also nice to know that AMD is strongest in the areas with some of the fastest PC growth YOY.
