One of North America's computer retail giants, Computer City, has signed Net
Nanny as a new software vendor. A subsidiary of Tandy Corporation based in
Dallas, Texas, Computer City represents one of tire top 10 retail chain accounts
which vendors seek to stock their products. Computer City has major computer
outlets throughout the US and Canada.
Over the next three months Net Nanny will be stocked in Computer City outlets
throughout the US and Canada. Computer City is a key retail account on every
vendor's list.
The company has also signed an agreement with Release Software Corporation of
Menlo Park, California, to electronically distribute Net Nanny software through its
Internet software stores and properties. Release is an original industry leader in
electronic commerce solutions and software encryption and unlocking tools.
Release has now embarked on an aggressive program of software licencing and
content aggregation and will launch a wide number of online ESD stores with a
variety of key industry partners including Ziff-Davis. These stores will all offer a
downloadable version of Net Nanny and other highly popular titles available to
visitor to high traffic web sites and online properties which Release is actively
partnering with. Release has been in the news as a leading e-commerce player for
sometime now.
