I don't think many of us here are holding INTC, just as we're not holding MSFT or DELL.

Sorry to disagree with you JC, but I think quite a few of us here hold Intel, or have done. My own portfolio had an even balance of Intel and SUNW until today, now my SUNW is 20% higher than Intel, and will continue to climb IMO. Intel owns the desktop, SUNW the server, and you need both to work the Internet for now. I wouldn't touch Microsoft with a barge-pole, and have been avoiding it for years, thereby missing a lot of paper profits followed by (my prediction) a return to where they were in about 1992: a marginal player in the technology industry. When MSFT is a historical study in business Schools of how to lose by abusing a monopoly, INTC will still be churning out CPU's to client the web on, and SUNW will serve it. DELL, why would I buy a screwdriver company? I would invest in Stanley if I wanted to own tools.

Looking forward, INTC is a good place to park money if you want a steady 15% ROI. It's glory days are over, but it's still a good company, and probably does not deserve the drubbing its getting today. I may well add some more.
