Mo,

What a NON market maker? Is that the term for a shareholder of a particular company that produces widgets specific to a certain market that the shareholder has no other ties to? Or is there another meaning for this?

On another note:
Not sure if you noticed that on their Consolidated B/S, Tencor shows a decrease (either purchased back and held as Treasury Stock, or retired ) common stock. If the scenario is the former, then this could mean that Tencor has something up their sleave and plans to sell out their Treas. Stock when their price takes off. Meanwhile, their Income Statement for period ending March 31, 1996 shows that their Net Income/Share has increased some $0.20/share (partly because of the C/S they purchased back), but also because their Net Income increased some 36.5% the comparable period in 1995. A closer look shows that revenue has grown at a much quicker rate than expenses have (no surprise here), but still an important fact.

Finally, since volume has been low (presuming this means the big guys are still holding out), either this is infact take over bait like you stated on May 31 of this year, or you can expect an excellent takeoff as this downward decline should terminate somewhere around Tencor's 52-week low of 16.

DISCLAIMER: DATA PROVIDED ABOVE IS TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM TENCOR'S HOME PAGE, AND IS UN-AUDITED. THEIR 10-K SHOWS THAT PRICE WATERHOUSE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR AUDIT FOR YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1995. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE TO CONTACT FOR DATA INTEGRITY.

Please critique my evaluation and point out important factors to me that I have not taken into consideration. I appreciate any constructive criticism.

Thanks,
Tony
