Bell is lying. He's lying to himself. He's lying about what's happening between ATHM and Att. He's lying about his relation with the rest of the board. He's lying to smooth over his failure to guide the company to anywhere but down.

It's his failure because he didn't garner the minority interest in order to assert independence from MSO control. Independent action is critical for future non-diluted revenue strategies. Profitability will come when yield per sub rises independent of quantity of subs. This can be achieved by doing an end-around on the MSOs.

Jermo doesn't like Bell. He's plotting to recapture the company. The problem right now is he doesn't have the votes to pull it off. Those votes will mysteriously surface. Three chucks for Jermo.

If Jermo would secretly devise an end-around strategy, he can play one Power against another, and trick them all into the company's best interest. First though he and we will have to suffer through another appropriately qualified clown as defined by headhunters, and godhunters, who know who can do it and who can't as they have proven for a big fee over and over and over and ...
