Bill C. asked, "Do you know if a CDMA phone version for the US market is in the works also?"

The same question passed through my mind when I read the PRs about Kyocera's partnership with PALM. Kyocera can use the PALM/OS for its CDMA cellphones; why couldn't it also design a plug-in for the PALMs themselves that uses the same software? Those of us currently carrying two pieces of hardware (one about half as wide but just as long and thick as the other) would then only have to carry a PALM-and-a-quarter. I find it hard to believe that Kyocera, PALM, and 3Com haven't seen this if I have. Indeed, why else would PALM have also partnered with Nokia?

OTOH, my wife's happy with just a pocketmail acoustic modem for email (hates cellphones).

Just a thought.

Regards,
Harry J.
