Conspiracy plot of the day: O.K. Intel knew revenue was going to be light in Europe. They pre-announce and take their lumps. ouch. Had to be done. But now the decks are cleared somewhat and Dave. B's long awaited price war can get going. Look at the pricing of the P4s. Not bad. No better time to ensure market share gain on the high end than right now. Expectations are lowered and AMD may be a little vulnerable. If revs. have to be shaved a little in the next few months, so what? Everyone expects some weakness now. Let's build market share. Keep those rebates in place and make the P4 the one you gotta have! (I know Dave B. was actually forecasting a PIII price war earlier this summer, but it is such a great idea in concept, it will not die!).
