If I understand correctly these voice chips/processors can be used in line cards not only for DSLAMs & PSTNs but for non-ADSL broadband applications as well.

These Legerity voice chips appear to be aimed at all broadband applications, not just ADSL.

Sounds to me like what Legerity just announced will compete with some of the voice processors that ADI has already announced such as their ADSP-21MOD980 DIVA solution.
