What would they do for an encore, nationalize the stuff?

LOL! Hey, don't give Bubba Gore any ideas.

This move is proof-positive of the current administration's "wet finger in the air" mentality. Don't do anything constructive to correct the problem longer-term...instead, just pimp Joe Sixpack into thinking you "really care about his problems," so you can win an election. Tapping the SPR is much ado about nothing and clearly defines Clinton/Gore's lack of an effective energy policy.

Of course, the obvious question is, since the BLS reminds us every month that energy prices don't have an effect on inflation, why is Clinton concerned enough to tap into the SPR? Huge contradiction here, but the general public is too stupid to figure it out. One more reason why there should be an intelligence/common sense test required before you're allowed to vote in elections.
