.. it was rather amusing about 6 months to a year ago now when Rick Mercer of the popular satire show up here called "This Hour Has 22 minutes" posed as a reporter at one of the Republican get-togethers and asked Bush whether he could comment on Canada's Prime Minister Jean Poutine publicly endorsing Mr Bush in the election (Hint: Jean Chretien is the real name of the PM, and poutine is a fancy french word for a snack made up of fries, cheese and gravy) to which Mr Bush publicly stated he was grateful for Prime Minister Poutine's support without batting an eye. Mercer, not quite believing that Bush had actually taken him seriously.. decided to ask him a 2nd time later for a comment on Prime Minister Poutine's support to which again Bush publicly thanked the Prime Minister for doing so..

Now how could you expect Mr. Bush to remember the name of the Prime Minister of a small principality.....<g>

What's funny is that the news down here never picked up on it, or least I didn't see it.
