How much longer are we supposed to tolerate OPEC controlling us? It's about time someone called their hand. They remind me of the Japanese in the 80's, cocky as hell... Releasing some oil, beats having another Gulf war, which is certainly not out of the question with Saddam lurking around. Sure it was political, but I'll bet the OPEC guys wet their robes and that makes me smile. <G> What do you want, more government intervention telling us what and when to drive like Carter tried? Most Americans work hard and have a right to drive something bigger than a 4 cyclinder lawn mower if they choose. We have oil if we really need it. Rearrange a few environmental laws and we're swimming in it. It just has to be worth the effort. Fred
