Jim and Ted et al... Slightly back on topic.. It looks as if AMD has nicely weathered the Intel storm and has risen 10.7% today.. with the help of a few analysts who may be starting to see the light.. I think AMD was perfectly justified to not comment on any of this judging from the results.. Congrats to all the AMD investors who hung tough.. even Ted.. :)
I would assert that AMD should be fine next week.. The hope will be that AMD does indeed meet its Q3 numbers.. and my hypothesis is that unlike the last Qtr.. if AMD meets or slightly exceeds revenue and profit this time around.. the analysts and investors will reward it with a stock upsurge.. because it will have gone a long way towards proving the theory that AMD's market share was increasing in Europe and helped to lower Intel's revenue..thus showing it was ony a problem specific to Intel.
