Yes, this is yet another market tinkering that will have negative consequences. By dumping what little domestic oil we have saved up on the market, the idiots will further delay the market feedback mechanisms that act to fix the real problem: that we're consuming way too much flippin' oil in our gas-guzzling soccer-mom SUVs. If we were going to buy ourselves time whilst implementing a new energy policy, it would be one thing, but evidently it's just an election offering. Yet another bunch of idiots violating my #1 rule: Don't F*ck With Mr. Market. BC
