I hope you don't mind my commenting on this.

As you note, this game is becoming pervasive. In effect, the equipment supplier is financing the entire purchase as well as the equipment installation. The hope is that the equipment will pay for itself over time, but with the massive glut of bandwidth and the long distance price wars raging, profits are becoming a thing of the past. Effectively, the equipment suppliers are assuming massive risk to maintain their sales. Some of the big suppliers are becoming excellent short targets, particularly the ones that are selling into third world countries.
