<A publicly traded company exists for the benefit of the shareholder, period.>

Without a doubt. What concerns me here is that anyone would even attempt to set forth an argument to state otherwise. How can any company that publicly trades on the NYSE or Nasdaq have their share price rise and be in a bullish trend unless they exist for the sake of their shareholders?

As a Humanist, I am outraged by any attempt to belittle the shareholder. Shareholders are Human Beings. A publicly traded company should hold the interests of their shareholders in the highest regard. Why do human beings invest their hard earned money in a publicly traded company? To be told that they are worthless and a POS by management? To be told that they are dumb and stupid and management is all knowing?

The bottom line is what matters or you lose your shareholders.

Shareholders are the life blood of a publicly traded company.

It is incredible and extremely inhumane that anyone could even attempt to set forth an argument to state the contrary.
