TB, Last fall I spoke to head engineer of NC and router
was planned to be in carrier tests at spring 2000, with commercial
sales summer-fall this year( so far on schedule in general).
However the product is great, I believe me PF knows how to sale it.
Sure, lots of products were delayed( start are not so different) including 50450.
So many think this product is just marketing propaganda, which is fact is coming most likely from competitors.
Look on oncoming large contract with US and European carriers
within the next few months or even sooner......

As far as sales of JNPR stake, NT,LU sold it much earlier.
It is easy to say year later when price of JNPR is so much, much higher.
I think decision about sales of JNPR and specially Cambrian was made not only by TM, but also others(AL), who had some deal with co the company.
I agree, so much was wasted......, no questions about that.
I wish PF was in his current position at least 6-8 months earlier.
Last thing about TM, you have to agree that he knows how to generate start ups and where technology is going.
Just recently Abatis was sold to Redback, which paid quite lot to beef up his ( I believe) management platform.
Reading occasionally you posts, my understanding is you work for networking industry.
What do you honestly think about Redback.
