huh ? i read that production costs could be increased by 10-20 bucks an ounce of gold due to the rising energy costs. so, it might be prudent to consider owning bullion versus gold mining stocks.

and how do you know gold doesn't matter in the long term ? your entire net worth is in cash or equities (except for personal property). all can be created and duplicated by a printing press.

what if the mid east countries decide one fine day to have a united arab currency partially backed by gold ?
