This is incorrect. Artists absolutely receive a royalty payment when their song is played on the radio.

Still apples to oranges.

And I wasn't talking about Microsoft. I tend to think that MSFT would have grown to its current level of dominance without the use of monopolistic predatory practices through the ineptitude of their competitors, however, I do believe that some of their business practices violated written law.

My personal belief is that the free market would have eventually corrected the MSFT problem and that government involvement was not necessary. I also believe that dominant market share is not a sufficient enough reason for the government to look askance at a company.
