I keep looking for the missing pieces in the digital photography value chain and continue to believe the lack of display options is one of the biggest remaining impediments. Most people do not want to limit their viewing to the PC nor do they have the ability to print great pictures. One recent solution is the creation of electronic frames which use removable flash memory to display digital images. A related development is the use of removable flash memory in next generation PDAs and wireless handsets which can also be used to display digital images. We may soon reach the point where you can carry flash memory in your briefcase or purse and simply slip it into a frame/PDA/handset to show pictures of the new baby, kids, vacation, house, party, etc. Some interesting early frame examples can be found at the following sites:
kodak.com
videochip.com
digi-frame.com
ceiva.com

The bowling pins continue to fall for the creation of a digital photography driven flash memory tornado.
