Wind River Systems.....

Don:

I printed off your 3 part series and spent the last day at a meeting reading all of it.

Please accept my congratulations on an outstanding report. I believe this was your finest contribution to the folder yet.

Questions for you:
1. Wind is extremely complex, with multiple centers of excellence, and working relationships with as many semiconductor companies as it can develop. With so many divisions, depts, niches, offshoots, new ventures, etc., how does Wind manage to stay focused on "Core", and not get derailed by "Context", terms that I know you recognized from LOTFL?

2. Management must be laser focused to keep all of it straight and on-target. What is Management's ability to stay on target, and to execute what seems to be a very clever, but very intricate and convoluted strategy?

3. Given the proposed lag in revenue recognition, which was estimated to be 2 years, does this mean that dramatically evident revenues may not appear for another year or so?

Many thanx for your hard work, and willingness to share,
Apollo
